ineo 958 – professional-quality printing in production  environments

There is a growing demand for professional-quality monochrome printing in production environments. But in-house printrooms and digital print service providers need a solution that combines high and reliable performance with excellent value for money. The new ineo 958 from DEVELOP has been specifically designed to meet these requirements, offering enhanced performance and excellent productivity combined with convenient media flexibility, operability and scalability.

Langenhagen, June 2016

“The ineo 958 meets the customers’ demand for an affordable but powerful printing system that brings a professional production printing performance to in-house printrooms and digital printshops,” says product manager André Statkus. “It’s over 25% faster than the predecessor model and com-bines that speed and 1,200 x 1,200 dpi output quality with a high degree of media flexibility and scalability.”

Enhanced performance
At 95 ppm the ineo 958 is not only 20 ppm faster than the predecessor model, it also offers a number of new features for even better performance. The new dual colour scanner has a capacity of 300 sheets and scans at speeds of up to 240 ipm in a single pass. The 150-sheet bypass tray brings greater media flexibility, e.g. by allowing banners to be printed in house, and the maximum paper capacity of 6,650 sheets allows even high-volume print jobs to be completed without paper refills. What’s more, these enhanced features do not come at the expense of compactness. The ineo 958’s small footprint means that this entry-level production printing system will easily fit into a cramped in-house printroom, for example.

Excellent productivity
It is not just output speed that counts in a professional printing environment. Ease of operability and a wide range of optional finishing features are just as important in speeding up print workflows. Here, the ineo 958 has a lot to offer. An easy-to-use touchscreen and optional upright operating panel en-sure good usability when standing in front of the device. The professional finishing solutions on offer include a 100-sheet stapling function, booklet making, post insertion and a Z-fold unit that is integrat-ed into the finisher to save space. The ineo 958’s media flexibility – 52-300 gm2, SRA3 as standard, mixplex/mixmedia and an intelligent paper catalogue – enables this device to deliver on a wide range of print jobs, which in itself pushes up productivity.

High scalability
The OpenAPI interface that supports numerous third-party applications (e.g. YSoft SafeQ or Nuance eCopy Sharescan) and both IWS and NFC authentication give the ineo 958 a high degree of scalabil-ity – and that means easy integration into existing workflows and structures.
All in all, the new ineo 958 promises a higher degree of affordable professionalism at the lower end of the production printing segment – which is exactly what printrooms and print shops are demanding.
